Climate 200 | Tassie is Doing Politics Differently

Tassie is Doing Politics Differently

Join us for our first ever event in Tasmania! Meet like-minded people who are passionate about  people-powered climate action, and find ways to help and get involved with independent campaigns across the country.

In the lead up to the 2022 federal election, Climate 200 supported 23 campaigns. 11 were won, and four came very close. Together, these candidates and MPs put climate action and integrity firmly on the political agenda. Over the past two years, this independent crossbench has helped bring on the biggest climate and integrity reform in a generation.

Join us in Hobart for a fantastic community event to talk about what’s ahead, and how you can get involved.

We’ll hear from:

  • Climate 200’s founder & convenor, Simon Holmes à Court
  • Our Executive Director, Byron Fay
  • The Independent Federal Member for Clark Andrew Wilkie MP

The event will be MCed by award-winning author Briony Benjamin.

Andrew Wilkie is the longest-serving Independent MP in the federal parliament, representing the local views of Hobart since 2010. He is a powerful integrity advocate – from his vocal opposition to the war in Iraq, to his steadfast advocacy for gambling reform and whistleblower protection, and greater transparency and accountability across government.
