The upcoming federal election is awash with coal profits and magnate wealth looking to sabotage climate action.

But powerful local organising strategies are balancing the scales, turning everyday nurses, teachers, and grandparents into influential political players. 

Since 2021, three friends with no fundraising experience have raised over $170,000 for community independents through a group called Canberra for Climate 200.
