The major parties have been captured by the fossil fuel industry. They are dragging us backwards in a moment where action and real leadership have never been so important.
That’s why, in 2022, Climate 200 supporters helped seven new community independents run for Federal Parliament – and win. Every candidate had climate policy backed by science.
Right now, there are more than a dozen community independent campaigns looking to follow in their footsteps and they could hold the balance of power in the next parliament.
But the next federal election is fast approaching and if these climate champions are going to win, they need our support.

Climate 200 only accepts donations from Australian citizens, permanent residents and Australian companies. Climate 200 is required to disclose the name and address of any person or entity that makes donations above the $16,900 disclosure threshold in the financial year ending 30 June 2025.

Since 2019, we’ve helped 14 climate-focussed independents get elected to parliament.
