The major parties think they’ve got independents cornered. They’ve just passed new laws designed to further rig elections, while handing themselves more than $140 million in public funding.

1 in 3 Australians voted against the major parties at the last election. That number is unprecedented and growing. This bill is a brazen attempt to roll back that momentum and limit your ability to support genuine, community backed alternatives to the status quo.
These laws won’t come into effect until after the 2025 election. That means this election is our best chance to help independents win seats off the major parties, and force them to negotiate with a bigger, more powerful pro-climate crossbench.

Climate 200 only accepts donations from Australian citizens, permanent residents and Australian companies. Climate 200 is required to disclose the name and address of any person or entity that makes donations above the $16,900 disclosure threshold in the financial year ending 30 June 2025.
