When news broke that the Coalition’s nuclear plan would unleash a two-billion-tonne carbon bomb we helped to book wall-to-wall TV ads for pro-climate independents in key battlegrounds seats, where they’re going head-to-head with the Coalition.
Then, Andrew Constance declared that Australia’s Paris climate targets would be “off the table under the Liberal Party”.
In just three days, over 3,000 people have stepped up — raising over $1.1 million to cover the cost of these ads.
Now we're helping ensure independent campaigns can secure ads in ten key electorates. These seats could determine whether Peter Dutton wins a majority government and makes his climate-wrecking agenda a reality.
We’ve estimated it will cost $1.6million to buy up all remaining inventory in these seats. That means we’re still $500,000 short.
Will you chip in and help us defuse Dutton’s carbon bomb?
Independent campaigns media buyers are working around the clock, but we need to lock in more spots now — before Clive Palmer and the Coalition snap them up.
Your donation won’t just change the game in these electorates. It will send the Coalition a powerful message — climate change is on the agenda this election.
So please, give what you can, and let’s climate-proof Australian Politics.
Climate 200 only accepts donations from Australian citizens, permanent residents and Australian companies. Climate 200 is required to disclose the name and address of any person or entity that makes donations above the $16,900 disclosure threshold in the financial year ending 30 June 2025.
We are very excited to support Climate 200 and strongly agree with their goals for action on climate, integrity, and diversity. After meeting the team at Climate 200, we know that they will make sure that every dollar donated is well-targeted and will make a real difference in getting more independent voices into Parliament.
We are proud to support Climate 200 in its mission to support local communities and their independent candidates fighting for action on climate change, equality and integrity. We need our political representation to respond to the concerns of its citizens. We know we are better together and hope you join us in this push for a safe climate and fairer future for all.
We’re frustrated and embarrassed with the lack of meaningful action at the federal level in Australia to address the Climate Emergency. We strongly feel there is a need for more people in the federal government that have the integrity and the independence to act in the interests of future generations. Please join us in supporting the work being done by Climate 200 at this pivotal point.
